What sets The Real Q apart from other restaurants? Is it the local memorabilia lining the walls? Is it the nostalgic atmosphere that takes you back to a simpler time? Or the friendly staff greeting you by name and asking about your family? Or maybe customers you'll see talking from table to table because everyone seems familiar (even if they're strangers!)? Of course those things are special! But there's so much more.

You see ... while you are sleeping, Real Q's Pit-Master is up all night, hauling wood from the piles out back (delivered from a local sawmill several days a week), keeping the fire roaring and the coals glowing to slow-cook our pork shoulders so you can have the freshest, juiciest barbecue anywhere around. And it's served THAT day ... no days-old refrigerated meat and NO shortcuts!

If you're in the area any night, you can see and smell the fragrant, billowing smoke rising into night sky from our decades-seasoned pits. It is truly a special process that has been consistent and perfected for well over 30 years. This is REAL Q and it is a rare gem.

Of course we serve a not-too-fancy menu with choices to satisfy the whole crew! We actually have THE BEST burgers, cooked-to-order and from beef that is fresh (never frozen), hot dogs any way you like, marinated chicken salad, homemade ranch dressing, southern-seasoned green beans, potato salad, cole slaw, bbq slaw, tea brewed every morning before we open, ribs every Wednesday, bbq chicken every weekend ... well, you get the picture! 

There's something for everyone.

The Real Q is not a chain, nor one of many. We are one family, blessed with one special restaurant. What we do and how our customers feel is personal and important to us. This is why we consistently serve quality food, cooked with heart and served with appreciation for each and every customer.
